There are numerous nationalities and cultures that have settled on the islands of The Bahamas. All have distinctive and thriving culinary traditions and each island and village seems to boast its own speciality dishes and various cooking methods. There are strong themes that unite the local styles of cooking, dictated by the island's fresh seafood and exotic fruits.
One of the many local specialties is Conch Salad. Conch is a local shellfish characterized by it unique texture and flavor found throughout the islands. It is similar to ceviche using various citrus juices to marinade the fresh conch.
On your trip we will dive for fresh conch and then I will teach you how to get the conch out of the shell, cut it up and make the amazing conch salad that is loved by all!
We will also catch fresh fish and lobster throughout the week for your eating pleasure.
Other island specialities are sugar apples, sapadillies, sous, sky juice, bahama mama's and many more exciting local treats!
Please email ahead of your charter any special food requests, vegetarian, vegan or any food allergies.
Thank you
